We have an immediate opportunity for a dedicated individual to join us as an Intermediate Project Engineer, reporting to the VP Project Development.
This is a permanent, full-time role, based in our Ottawa office, with a requirement to work from the office up to 5 days a week during various prolonged project planning and construction phases. When project deliverables allow and with the approval of the VP Project Development, you will work in our Ottawa office a minimum of two days a week and can work remotely from home the remainder of the time. Working remotely will require you to have reliable internet access and a home office that provides for a productive, professional and safe work environment during regular working hours. To be successful in this role and in a hybrid work environment, you will need to be a proactive communicator, be a self-starter and have strong time management and organizational skills.
Identify and monitor project gates and approvals
Plan, monitor and report on project schedules and critical activities
Conduct cost estimating
Identify, select and oversee qualified contractors
Identify, mitigate, monitor and report on project risks
Support and monitor key internal project team interfaces, ensuring important information transfer across multiple teams
